Description

Context & overview

The Acer AI Classroom initiative was launched to integrate AI into everyday educational practices. In Italy, pilot projects were implemented in schools and vocational training centres to test how AI can improve lesson planning, personalised learning and classroom management. The programme aligns with Italy’s broader digital transition policies in education, demonstrating how AI can support both governance of teaching processes and student engagement.

Challenges addressed

Teachers faced increasing demands to personalise learning for heterogeneous student groups.

Traditional planning tools were time-consuming, reducing focus on innovative pedagogy.

Students often showed disengagement, requiring more interactive and adaptive content.

Institutions needed to experiment with AI responsibly, ensuring transparency and alignment with educational goals.

Solution implemented

Acer developed the AI Classroom platform, combining hardware, software and AI-based tools for teachers and learners. Key features include:

  1. AI lesson planning assistants.
  2. Real-time analytics.
  3. Engagement tools.
  4. Institutional dashboard.
